Martin D-35
This instrument is eligible for trades.
Here we have a quintessential workhorse of a guitar, which seems to do everything well without breaking the bank. The Martin D-35 has been the popular choice for many legendary entertainers, including Johnny Cash, David Gilmore and Elvis Presley. this particular specimen is from 2022, and shows literally no signs of use! If you get out your magnifying glass, you might be able to find evidence of handling, but it can’t be argued, this is excellent condition at the least.
One advantage for some with a D-35 over the D-28, is that the 35 has 1/4 bracing, as opposed to the 28, which has 5/16 bracing. This means that often those who finger pick, or have a lighter touch can excite the box with less effort, due to the reduced bracing size. Furthermore, the lack of scalloping on these braces makes for a more balanced experience for the performer, without the bottom end becoming overly muddy. This example maintains a lush warm tone across all six strings, with a nice bass response, that doesn’t become overbearing. The trebles have a nice fat bell tone to them, while the mid range also maintains a great depth, without getting in the way of the bass strings. As we said, it is very balanced. Take a listen to the demo and see for yourself.
