Consignments
Our consignment policy is simple and easy to understand: For musical instruments valued at $2000 to $9,999, we receive 15% of the final sales price, before shipping and taxes are calculated. For instruments above $10,000 in value, we receive 10% of the final sales price, before shipping and taxes are calculated. You are responsible for transporting/shipping your instrument to us. After that we will handle the process of evaluating, photographing, and creating a demo video of your instrument. All consigners agree to enter into a 90 day consignment period, with an early termination fee of $200. If after 90 days you wish to have your instrument returned to you, you will be responsible for paying return shipping costs only. However, this will result in the removal of your demo video, photographs and listing on our website. Your instrument will be covered on our insurance policy once we receive it, and if we ship it to a purchaser. Additionally, it will be well cared for, with humidity levels being monitored, and its safety and care being our top priority.
Feel free to check around and make the best decision for your situation. Unlike other shops, we actually make a video, and attempt to sell your instrument, not just let it hang on the wall. Also, because we limit the number of consignments we will take at a given time, you can rest assured you will not be lost in the shuffle. There are certainly shops that sell a lot more instruments than we do, but the same cannot be said regarding the speed of their sales, or the timeliness of their listing. When we receive an instrument, it will be listed within 72 hours, not weeks. Please contact us if you need further information or wish to discuss a consignment opportunity.
