Bourgeois D Fully Torrefied

$4,999.00

Here we have a rare and unusual specimen indeed! Allow us to present to you the all torrefied Bourgeois D! This one came to life in the year 2016, and while being in great condition, it was owned and used by a working musician, thus while being far from beat to death, it has been loved and played. We always see this as a benefit, as you won’t feel bad if you accidentally put a scratch or ding on it, plus the work of breaking it in has been done for you.

Like all instruments we sell, the demo will tell you all you need to know about the sound of this torrefied beast. Bourgeois is synonymous with tone, play ability and instruments which excel in front of a microphone, and this is certainly no exception as you will hear. The bass response is a little stronger and a little deeper than what we often experience from Bourgeois, while the trebles are very round and fat, with a luscious smoky quality to the tone. while we are sometimes critical of torrefied woods, we notice a hollow/brittle sound especially in the higher frequencies, you are guaranteed not to hear that with this instrument. in this case, things are definitely not over baked, in spite of being fully baked. The volume is good and plentiful, and did we mention the bass response? combine this with the revolutionary AER pickup system, and you are guaranteed to be pleased.

Specs include: torrefied Honduran mahogany back and sides, torrefied Adirondac spruce top, torrefied forward shifted and scalloped X bracing, Aged Tone gloss finish on body, satin finished neck, Madagascar Rosewood headplate, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, 1 23/32 nut width, 2.2 bridge spacing, vintage dot fingerboard inlays, ziricote body binding, black fingerboard binding, black/maple top purfling, Waverly open back tuners with oval knobs, AER Lily pickup system installed, complete with high fidelity microphone, under saddle transducer, and rechargeable battery, all housed in a Silver Creek vintage style case.

Be sure and hear this instrument for yourself! Banjo players will be terrified and droves by your all torrefied Bourgeois.
